Daddy went fishing with Henry and Eddie today. Henry caught a baby bluegill and helped me reel in a medium sized female bluegill.

Story: Eddie wanted to be the first one to fish because we only take one fishing pole due to the chaos it causes. I threw it out into the water, handed it to Eddie, he reeled one full rotation on the fishing pole, then proceeded to tell me he was done. Now you know why we only take one pole. Henry took over from there while Eddie went down the way and looked for rocks to throw.

After fishing we went to the local playground and the boys played on the various slides. They had a great time trying to defy gravity with their every move -- up slides, standing on slides, balancing on the edges of the slides (Typical boy activity). Dad just sat back and let nature take it's course. Angie wonders why boys have a need to make her heart rate go up. I just tell her this is the beginning of what lies ahead and brace for it now.

After they at lunch they came out and helped mow the grass for 5 minutes or so. Eddie is very afraid of the lawnmower. He has his little lawnmower, pushing it around the yard. Anytime I get near him, he will run as fast as possible pushing his lawnmower with him. They boys then went on to hitting golf balls in the freshly manicured grass. Henry is developing a nice swing. Eddie is just learning how to grip the club. He doesn't like any advice (I don't know where he gets it), so I have to be very firm with him to help.
